With Many special guests including music icon Boy George, Hollywood and stage actor Rory Kinnear, Emmy-award winning actress Susan Hampshire, Downton Abbey creator Lord Fellowes, Olympic gold-medallist Amy William MBE and Olympic gold-medallist Ben Ainslie CBE.

In support of JDRF’s campaign #TypeOnesie for World Diabetes day on November 14th, our very own Sam Loxton took part in Woking Golf Club’s annual Night Golf event, to raise awareness for World Diabetes Day and raise funds for JDRF.

Finishing off her glittering golden gown with statement jewels from Lucas Rarities: An 18 karat yellow gold hoop necklace of graduated design, finished with a cabochon sapphire set clasp, circa 1970s; An 18 karat yellow gold and onyx ring, centered with a pink spinel, circa 1940s and a retro 18 karat yellow gold ring of geometric design set with a reverse-set step-cut citrine, circa 1950s.
Lucas Rarities was proud to sponsor the FOBS Golf Society’s Charity Golf Day on 13th September 2013 at the Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club.

For one night only, on Thursday 26 September 2013, the Bush Theatre will invade the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, where Lucas Rarities will be exhibiting.
The private party kicks off from 6pm and guests will enjoy romances and adventures, true stories and tall tales . . . Inspired by the wonderful art and antiques of the LAPADA exhibitors, the Bush will strut its theatrical stuff around the fair while you enjoy champagne, cocktails and canapés.
For those staying on for dinner at 9pm, a meal created by Mark Hix and curated by ArtForEating will tickle all of your senses . . . Olivier-nominated Bush Associate Artist Caroline Horton will have you laughing and crying in your seats . . . bloodstock auctioneer Nick Nugent will whip up a frenzy of bidding to make you relish supporting the young and talented.
The Bush Beano will raise money crucial to the survival of the Bush Theatre.

On the evening of July 11th Katie Melua performed “I Will Be There” at the spectacular Queen’s Coronation Festival Gala. Accompanying her dress by Ralph Lauren were two bracelets from Lucas Rarities: an English textured yellow gold wide bracelet with citrines, emeralds and diamonds, by Andrew Grima from 1967; and a French textured yellow gold bracelet set with fourteen turquoise cabochons and diamonds by Pery et Fils, circa 1960s.
Art Antiques London is over for another year and we enjoyed yet another fantastic exhibition. Huge thanks to Haughton International Fairs for organising another successful show. The opening Party in the Park on Tuesday June 11 raised over £300,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Magician and cardshark Drummond Money-Coutts was in attendance and spent time at the Lucas Rarities stand wowing an audience with his dazzling array of card tricks.
We are delighted to announce that our French diamond brooch by Suzanne Belperron for Maison Boivin has been shortlisted for the Country Life-LAPADA Object of the Year Competition 2013. Last year we won second prize with our Mughal Emerald Turban Brooch by Paul Iribe and are hoping for continued success this year!

On February 4th Sam Loxton made the final shortlist for the National Antiques Week ‘Young Guns of the Antiques Trade’ Award. The five judges sat down for nearly four hours to decide which twelve remarkable finalists would make the list. The winner will be announced at the Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair in Battersea on April 25th 2013.
Sam said of his selection, “I consider myself a champion of antique and period jewellery and hope to kick start a revolution against the modern jewellery which is being distributed and mass marketed worldwide.”
